# Getting started

> Use Firmable data in your own code and AI agents through the developer portal

The Firmable developer portal gives you an API key and an MCP server for Firmable's company and
people data, with work emails and phone numbers. It runs on its own developer credits, so you can
try it without a Firmable subscription.

**1. Create a developer account**

Go to [app.firmable.com/developer/sign-up](https://app.firmable.com/developer/sign-up) and sign up
with your work email.

**2. Set up your organisation**

Enter your company name and accept the terms. We create a developer organisation for you.

**3. Get your free credits**

The first sign-up from each company gets **100 free credits** (worth US\$25), plus **40 more on the
1st of every month**. See [Credits and pricing](https://docs.firmable.com/developer/credits.md).

## What's in the portal

| Page | What it's for |
| - | - |
| **Home** | Connect your AI agent to the Firmable MCP server, with the exact command or config for it. |
| **API** | Create, rotate and revoke API keys, and try a key with a first call. |
| **Usage** | Your developer credit balance, what it was spent on, and your purchases and invoices. |
| **Team** | Invite teammates. They share the organisation's keys and credits. |
